Rearticulating and animating the sustainable development Goals in Higher Education
We present a colloquium in three parts.
A brief introduction on our theoretical vision, including a critical reading of SDGs, participation and opening up new ways of dealing with sustainability in higher education freeing up new spaces and ways of working towards a road approach of social and ecological sustainability in educational practices such as curriculum building, supervision and others. We emphasize the need for other forms of -indigenous -knowledge.
In the second part we do a workshop using the technique of the metaphorical dialogue so as to tap into intuition and creativity as important resources to understand sustainability and to opening up and learning about new educational practices.
In the third part we present our matrix for a curriculum as a Learning Journey Towards the Web of Life which brings together Participatory Action Research and Chinese Dao philosophy and opens the road to ecoliteracy. We present a reflection tool as part of our matrix and participants are invited to work with that approach using the outcomes of their work done for the metaphorical dialogue.
